Mark Evans, goalkeeper and captain of Raimon Junior High's struggling soccer club, sets out to assemble a team capable of winning the Football Frontier tournament. Then the aliens show up. Yes, aliens. What starts as an underdog school sports story gradually balloons into something closer to a shonen battle series where every shot has a name, a wind-up, and usually some kind of elemental effect. The 7.7 score reflects a show that knows exactly what it wants to be: loud, earnest, ridiculous, and endlessly watchable. Attack-calling, flashy techniques, and escalating stakes give it the texture of a battle manga wearing cleats.
