Then the butterfly effect takes hold. Every seemingly trivial discovery about time manipulation pulls the story into darker, more desperate territory. Alternate timelines splinter apart, memories fragment, and the cost of rewriting even a single event spirals into an anguished chain of consequences. The show's 9.0 score reflects how powerfully it earns its emotional payoff — the slow build, the tonal whiplash, the way Okabe's performative madness cracks open to reveal genuine fear and determination underneath.
